Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada, helping make sure every child receives the best possible care. CMN Hospitals let their member hospitals decide how to use these funds, ensuring the most urgent needs are met.
Since 1992, RE/MAX has worked to change kids’ health through their agents’ generous donations, creative fundraising events, volunteer programs at hospitals, and their unique Honor Card program. In their 30 years of partnership, RE/MAX affiliates in the U.S. and Canada have raised more than $185 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. As a proud Approved Supplier of RE/MAX, Skyways Media is also a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, helping to draw awareness to the partnership and increase funding for member children’s hospitals.
In 2021, thousands of agents in the U.S. and Canada participated in the RE/MAX Miracle Home & Miracle Property Program. By designating their listing as a Miracle Home or Property, agents make donations on behalf of their clients after each closed transaction. Participating agents and offices can differentiate themselves in the marketplace, creating a positive image to current and prospective clients, all while giving back to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Sunshine Kids: Dedicated to children with cancer
The Sunshine Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Established in 1982, we are committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. The Sunshine Kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for Kids who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation was founded by Rhoda Tomasco in 1982 while she was serving as a volunteer in the pediatric cancer unit of a hospital in Houston, Texas. After seeing the loneliness and depression among children during their extended hospital treatments, Rhoda had a vision to provide these young cancer patients with opportunities to participate in positive group activities which promoted self-esteem, personal accomplishment and just plain old fashioned fun! Today, that vision has been realized many times over, as thousands of children from hospitals across the country have reaped the benefits of The Sunshine Kids Foundation’s many programs and national and regional events. Funded by personal contributions, corporations and foundations, the Sunshine Kids continues, as it has since its inception, to provide all of its activities completely free of charge to the children and their families.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides exciting, positive group activities and opportunities for children with cancer so they may once again do what Kids are meant to do… have fun and celebrate life.
